5 Ways To Feed Your Family On St. Patrick’s Day

If we’re having an honest moment here, I seriously could look at St. Patrick’s Day goodies all day!  I mean, I can’t be the only one…right?!

But, alas…family’s gotta eat real, actual, healthy food too (sigh), so I’ve scoured Pinterest in order to bring you my five most favorite St. Patrick’s Day recipes!

We recently took a completely vegetarian plunge over here, at our house, so you’ll find that the majority of these favorites are mostly sans the whole corned beef angle!  (I did bring you one!)

Breakfast Time

Pancakes are a best seller in our house, so when I saw this breakfast by Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons, choosing what to eat for St. Patrick’s Day morning was a no-brainer!  It’s adorable, it’s healthy, and it’s easy!

Let’s just cut to the chase…I would love, love, LOVE this smoothie by The First Year Blog.  There is mention of food dye for the blue layer, but an alternative, all-natural option is available as well.  It’s healthy.  It’s clean.  It belongs in my belly!

Any Time

Okay, so I know I said that I don’t like corned beef, but I do love this cheeseball, what can I say?!  You can’t fault me for the greatness of this corny leprechaun (ha!)…I feel this is out of my hands!  Handmade in the Heartland, I’m loving this!

Creatively Homemade has a great (& simple) meal in mind with Shamrock Quesadillas.  Don’t have a shamrock cookie cutter hanging around?  Using the green spinach wraps just as they are will still bring that whole St. Patrick’s Day vibe to the table!

If my kids had their way, pizza night would be every night in our house!  Why should St. Patrick’s Day be any different? For any vegetarians out there, nix the pepperoni, throw on some tomatoes or red peppers, and you’ve got yourself a rainbow!  Over the Moon, we totally love this!  Thank you!

So, there you have it!  My top 5 St. Patrick’s Day foods!  Come to think of it, I probably should’ve posted the meals before the desserts, but hey, who doesn’t want to eat their dessert first anyway?!

Are you doing a St. Patrick’s Day theme for your family meals this weekend?

I’d love to hear about it!

Still not sure what to have this Saturday?  You’ll find more ideas on my St. Patty’s Food board!

I write about my life's core: Jesus & my faith, my family, and the struggles I have met along the way. I figure...I hope...that if exposing my life and it's lessons learned can encourage even one person, this blog and all the hours I have spent behind this computer will have been more than worth it.
