Favorite Blog Of The Month: iBelieve.com

What is happening to the months around here?  It honestly feels like everything is operating on hyper-speed, does it not?  Well, no matter how you dice it, March has come and nearly gone, and, as promised, with the close of each month (&the start of…could it be?…SPRING?!), I bring you my favorite blog of the month!!

Favorite Blog of the Month:

iBelieve.com!

Why did I choose this site?

As I was contemplating which blog to feature this month, I quickly realized it was a no-brainer!  Nearly every day, I’m on their website looking for anything from new prayers to pray for my family to just plain encouragement for my own self!  As a Christian wife and mom, there really isn’t a topic going on in my own life that I can’t find a post for here, on their site!

What you should read when you’re there:

This website is one of the most organized I’ve seen!  On the top menu bar, you’ll see a drop down menu for “Topics”.  Based on each category, here are some of my favorites:

Faith

A Prayer for Easter Morning (&25 Verses to Celebrate Easter)  – With Easter fast approaching, I am trying my best to make sure it is represented more by Christ than the Easter Bunny!  I love that the kids get excited over things like egg hunts and Easter baskets, but I also want to make sure they learn the excitement of Christ and Heaven as well!  If you’re in the same boat as I am, this post will keep us on target!

How Do We Get Ready for Easter? (10 Steps Jesus Gives Us)– I hate to admit this, but I am not as intentional with Easter as I would like to be.  This post helps with that in 10 easy steps.  I don’t know about you, but I’ll be trying this during the week!

Relationships

10 Ways to Get Back to Being His Best Friend  – With the kids, and the house, and work, and schedules, and exhaustion, it can become incredibly enticing to just flip on the tv at the end of a long day without really having made any marital effort whatsoever.  I am certainly guilty of this, but fall into this rut, and you’ll soon find yourself sitting next to someone that feels more like a roommate than a best friend.  If you’re there now, READ THIS POST (& pray over it too)!

10 Kinds of Friends Every Woman Needs – As far as friendships go, I’ve been burnt so many times that I often find myself justifying the whole “I don’t need a ton of friends” angle.  The truth is, though, we all need friendship.  Here are ten of the most important friendships we could ever need.

Health & Beauty

10 Things to Remember When We Start Comparing Ourselves to Others – Guilty!  I do this all the time, and I wish I didn’t!  God made us each for our own God-given purpose in this life.  I’ve even written about it before, but still, I need the reminder!

10 Ways to Better Handle Anger (Before it Gets the Best of You)–  If you’re a mom, a wife, a coworker, a human…then you’ve likely fallen prey to both impatience and even anger at times.  What if we were more deliberate in this area of our lives and didn’t let anger get the best of us and the moments we have with those we love? This post equips you with 10 ways to get started!

Food & Home

6 Ways to Grow Closer to Your Spouse When Busy Schedules Pull You Apart – I’d love to grow closer with my husband on a daily basis, but sometimes I’m just too exhausted to think about how to do that!  This post sweeps in with six important and easy reminders about how to make that happen…the rewards that result are just a wonderful byproduct of our simple efforts!

When Life Feels More Like Psalm 31 than Proverbs 31– Ahh, Proverbs 31…the perfect wife!  As a Christian, I have longed to fulfill the role of that Proverbs 31 woman to perfection, and as a human, I have failed to bring that longing to fruition Each. And Every. Day!  If you’re feeling discouraged…if life and circumstances are dragging you down, this post is for you!

Motherhood

Why I Let My Kids Play in the Dirt, and You Should Too – Kids.  We just want to keep them secure in that little bubble, don’t we?  This post reminds us to let go…to be free…and to watch our children thrive, as a result!

9 Most Dangerous Apps for Kids – I have a teenager.  Electronic devices and all their accompanying apps and features now scare me.  Here’s a look at nine of the most dangerous apps out there for your child and why you should remove them immediately!

Career & Calling

When God Wrecks Your Dreams…and That’s Ok – I won’t sugar coat it, I’ve had my dreams completely crushed on more than a few occasions.  Sooner or later, it happens to us all.  Understanding why that’s okay can help you endure, the next time it happens to you.

5 Truths to Remember When You Want to Quit Your Job – Not happy with your job?  Consider these five thoughts before going any further!

So, there you have it!  My most favorite, go-to blog for spiritual inspiration!

I’ve actually begun incorporating their blog into my morning time with God.  Rather than reading a post all the way through in one shot, though, I usually will save it to the Home Screen of my phone, and each morning, I will read a new section and pray over it.  Using 10 Ways to Better Handle Anger (Before it Gets the Best of You) as an example, I would take each of these 10 points mentioned, and pray over one each day for the next 10 days.  Since I’ve started doing this, I have watched my prayer life grow exponentially!

What about you?  Do you have a unique way of praying?

What about a favorite blog that inspires you spiritually?

Let me know in the comments, I’d love to give them a try!

I write about my life's core: Jesus & my faith, my family, and the struggles I have met along the way. I figure...I hope...that if exposing my life and it's lessons learned can encourage even one person, this blog and all the hours I have spent behind this computer will have been more than worth it.

I love how you pray in the morning. It’s unique and effective. Lime praying for your husband, who without a doubt needs it. Everyone needs prayer even if they don’t admit it. I’m glad you’re in my corner.
